Rupali Ganguly, best known for her role in the hit show “Anupamaa,” has taken legal action against her stepdaughter, Esha Verma. Rupali has filed a defamation suit seeking Rs 50 crore in damages.
The legal battle stems from a series of allegations made by Esha Verma against Rupali on social media. Esha accused Rupali of having an affair with her father, Ashwin K. Verma, during his previous marriage.
Rupali, through her lawyer, Sana Raees Khan, has vehemently denied these accusations and stated that the allegations are false and malicious.
The lawsuit aims to protect Rupali’s reputation and seek justice for the harm caused by the defamatory statements.
